Our Summary of The Virginia Colony

Students read 3 primary sources on the starving time, the Virginia Company's instructions to settlers, and the supplies the settlers were encouraged to bring (1-4 pages each). Students then answer 3 overarching questions about the colony.

Grade Level:  HS, (College)

  • HS=High School.  This lesson  is recommended for grades 9 and 10.
  • Though HS is the specified grade level, we at Anti-Textbook think this lesson would be excellent for college students as well.

Remote Ready:  With Modifications
